About

Bioactive Research through its New Zealand affiliate  provides a wide range of bioassays and models to assist natural product health companies and drug developers. We work with partners to develop new products on a shared basis.

BIOASSAYS AND MODELS
A wide range of bioassays and models are available to assist natural product health companies. Staff members have worked in biotechnology developments for over 30 years.

We have experience with products and preparations, from a diversity of animal, botanical, marine, fungal, bacterial, algal and synthetic sources.

What we do

Bioactive Research, through its NZ affiliate can add value to your product development program and product development investment decisions. We work closely with you throughout the process.

  • Work interactively with you to properly understand your requirements and how we may assist you.

  • Exchange confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements with you.

  • IP from work on your contracted product remains yours. Our IP is only associated with our models and assays.

  • Develop a study design with you and discuss amending it as appropriate.

  • Prepare a formal proposal to you and appoint a project manager.

  • Schedule the research, order any materials needed (some special requirements may have several weeks lead time) and secure any required approvals (eg,   ethical, biosecurity).

  • Conduct the research program while keeping you informed of progress regularly.

  • Prepare report on completion of the research and the outcome is discussed with you.

  • Follow up to discuss any matters arising from the report.

  • We work interactively with you to understand your needs and develop a plan of approach. Many of the products we have helped develop are now in the market or clinical trials.
